What if you could create a plan for the next 90 days that will allow you to finish the year strong and set you up powerfully for 2019?
Take a moment to imagine what would really make a difference for your 2018 goals in the next 90 days and what you need to set yourself up powerfully for 2019. This is strategy at work. The strategic thinker is thinking 7 moves down board in chess, in life and in business. Looking at the timing of each move and also paying attention to the thing that made them successful in the first place, their gut. So what is your gut saying about what needs to happen for you and your team to make goal this last quarter. Then given everything you know about yourself, your team, and the world, what one or two things could you to now to set yourself up powerfully for 2019.
My practice is to take November and December to assess and figure this out. I had an “ah-ah” moment last month and my strategy for 2019 and beyond to grow my business came into clear focus. So not only do I have my goals for the 4th quarter to move towards, I have a plan to set myself up powerfully to execute on my 2019 strategy right out of the gate in January.
I love helping my clients and their teams to do the same thing. So I have designed a powerful one-day strategy retreat that allows you to plan for 2019. It made a huge difference for several of my clients over the past 2 years. It was amazing what getting out of the office, away from the phones and emails for one day allowed them to do. They came together, recommitted to their vision for the organization and then talked about all the things that they were aware of that needed to be considered moving into the new year both positive and negative. Then we came up with a strategy to address the priority issues and created organizational goals. Each subgroup created objectives and metric for their area of the business that would support the overall goals and finally drafted action plan that they all agreed would be the primary focus of their team meetings. They committed to creating 90 day action plans each quarter so they could have the flexibility they needed to change objectives and tactics as the environment changed. One of my clients reported a 30% increase in revenue and big increase in moral, excitement, and focus for his team. This was impart because they were included in creating the plan and because everyone knew how their piece contributed to the overall goals.
So if you want to get your team on the same page in the same book and have them working towards the same picture of the future you are holding in your head, consider scheduling a one-day strategy retreat with MKM Management Consulting asap.
